IMPart is a non-profit making group of volunteers committed to providing access and facilities to the local community for the Arts & Entertainment. We want IMPart to be Lincoln's community arts centre, making the hall available for all art activities. |
| IMPart aims to provide all kind of creative entertainment for all members of the community. We have many events, classes and courses that have been established over the last years including art and craft workshops, exhibitions, theatre, poetry, amateur dramatics, parties, music and dance. | ||||
| IMPart offers a welcoming and friendly place to meet, engage and support for creative interested individuals and groups of the whole community . Every Tuesday 10.30am - 3pm IMPart is open to have a look around. This is the time when our volunteers come in to keep the hall up to date and you might find someone working in the garden or painting a door. |
| At the same time we run our 'open studio' for your chance to meet other artists and use our hall to work on your own artwork. Pop in for a cup of tea or coffee and/or join in! Just Contact Us to find out more. |

In 2000, St. Botolph's Church Hall was a neglected and derelict building, standing empty for 13 years. Founding members of IMPart saw the potential for the refurbishment of the hall and the future use for a creative community space so they set about the complicated task of getting it back into shape. |
| Negotiations with the Parish Church Council, who own the deed to St Botolph's Church hall, followed and prognosticated beneficial outcomes to all parties involved, including the local community and the Park Ward area of Lincoln. A lease and management contract for IMPart was agreed. | ||||
| Most of the first few years were spent to transform the hall into a useable centrally heated venue with disabled access and facilities. By October 2005 the refurbishment reached a standard that allowed IMPart to reopen the doors to the public with a Grand Open Day. Since then IMPart has continuously grown into a vibrant community arts space, and seeks to constantly investigate areas of development, improvement, refurbishing and extending of its existing building and services to advance and enhance its range of service provision. |
