On Saturday 25th October 2008 from 10am- 4pm IMPart Community Arts Centre at St Botolph's Church Hall joined forces with the national Big Draw campaign once more and held a day of drawing activities for all members of the community, young and old.

With the title ‘Just Draw' IMPart hosted its 3rd Big Draw event. The previous years were hugely successful however this year exceeded all our expectations, showing just how much IMPart has grown.

We transformed the hall to provide a range of drawing and painting activities for all ages, including portraits, floor art, life drawing, crazy collages, terrific templates, street art, drawing with imagination and lots more! Our exciting Big Draw event was the perfect opportunity for families and friends to meet up and get creative with drawing and mark making.

The day would not have been possible without the input of IMPart's fantastic and committed volunteers who got involved in the planning, setting up and running of the days events. Also, a huge thanks goes to Linda from Croft Catering, who spent time in the kitchen cooking and serving up a wide range of tasty treats to keep everyone drawing all day long!

I'm so proud to see this lovely work exhibited at IMPart this year. Every year it gets better and it's wonderful to see this place and the participating artists flourishing.

" Well done to the IMPart team and Phil! "

With the formalities over and the new committee voted in office another year at IMPart was over. This year we had the pleasure of unveiling our new mosaic created and donated by the Adult Social Group at Sincil Bank (with a special thanks to Phil Robinson). The mosaic was officially opened by Liam Robinson who cut the ribbon and presented the mosaic which is located along the path at the entrance to the IMPart garden.

The BBQ was cooked by special guest chefs ‘Dale and Shane'. With music and art to entertain there was also the opportunity to make your very own Morsbag (thanks to Vicki).

A good evening was enjoyed by all and we hope to see everyone again next year (plus more)!

As part of Lincoln Book Festival's fifth Birthday, a special programme of events and activities took place allowing everyone to get involved. At IMPart we celebrated on Saturday 17th May 2008 with arts and words. Based on the popular children's book 'Five Children and It' the reading session was followed by a visual arts activity based on this theme. From 10am - 12:30pm children and their families were involved in reading and crafts and a successful event was enjoyed by all.

IMPart celebrated Christmas 2007 in style with 'A Night at the Oscars'.

The red carpet was rolled out as the doors opened at 7:30pm for the celebrity guests to arrive. Everyone came in fancy dress as their favorite movie star or theme to take part in the festive fun and surprises. The paparazzi were there to snap the celebs and get everyone close-up. The booze-flowed and the nibbles-nibbled as everyone danced the night away to the 'Squidgy Python Roadshow'!

Did you see IMPart at Lincoln Christmas Market on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th December 2007? We performed with our giant puppets entertaining the crowds and promoting art in the community.

After 5 years of building, plastering, painting and decorating St Botolph's Church Hall was finally refurbished. To celebrate this new local community centre, IMPart held a 'Grand Open Day' on 23rd October 2005. With stalls, artwork, food and entertainment everyone joined in the fun and games, celebrating IMPart in style.

IMPart has arrived in Lincoln!

Art is the initial focus and since opening IMPart has hosted workshops, exhibitions, performances, open studio sessions and many more events. The hall is a community project and aims to provide a work space for all members of the public to hire.
