The Big Draw |
On Saturday 24th October 2009 from 10am- 4pm IMPart Community Arts Centre at St Botolph's Church Hall joined forces with the national Big Draw campaign once more and held a day of drawing activities for all members of the community, young and old. |
This year has been the best yet for IMPart so with this in mind IMPart was proud to host The BIGGER Big Draw 2009! A family fun day where everyone can get involved and have fun with art!
The day would not have been possible without the input of IMPart's fantastic and committed volunteers who got involved in the planning, setting up and running of the days events. Also, a huge thanks goes to Linda from Croft Catering, who spent time in the kitchen cooking and serving up a wide range of tasty treats to keep everyone drawing all day long! |

Annual General Meeting |
As always, the IMPart AGM is a meeting with a difference!
With the formalities over and the new committee voted in office another year at IMPart was over. The AGM was the first opportunity to enjoy the yummy examples of the food which, IMPart caterer extraordinary, Linda will be serving up on the third Friday of each month right here at IMPart's Community Cafe. Entertainment was provided young local musicians Max and Joe.
A good evening was enjoyed by all and we hope to see everyone again next year (plus more)! |

Lincoln Book Festival |
IMPart joining the Lincoln Book Festival once more and our team of volunteers got creative with exciting ideas and crafts that led us on a literary adventure. Celebrating Alfred, Lord Tennyson's bicentenary, his poem 'The Lady of Shallot' provided inspiration for our 'Make and Play Art Activity Day'.
On Saturday 16th May 2009 children and their families were involved in reading and crafts with a variety of medieval activities from building a castle, making crowns and dressing to face paining and nail art. As our regulars very well know, Linda's 'Café of Shallot' was open all day to offer some delicious support in the form of food & drink!
A massive thanks to everyone involved a successful book festival event was enjoyed by all. |

BBC Radio Lincolnshire |
On Sunday 19th October 2008 IMPart was given the chance to appear on BBC Radio to talk about the community arts project to the listeners of Lincolnshire. Phil and Kerrie went along to the studio in Lincoln to meet Sue Taylor, the weekend presenter from 9am, and chatted 'on air' about IMPart and all its events. We would like to thank Sue and the rest of the team for letting us invade their studio and promote our 'Big Draw' event. |

A Night at the Oscars |
| |
IMPart celebrated Christmas 2007 in style with 'A Night at the Oscars'.
The red carpet was rolled out and the paparazzi ready as the doors opened at 7:30pm for the celebrity guests to arrive. Everyone came dressed as their favorite movie star or theme to take part in the festive fun and surprises. The booze-flowed and the nibbles-nibbled as everyone danced the night away to the 'Squidgy Python Roadshow'! |
