Lincoln's Community Arts Centre, an organisation for all arts and craft activities.
IMPart, based at St Botolph's Church Hall , is a not-for-profit constituted organisation and social enterprise with a mix of artistic, social and ecological aims. We are committed to providing affordable arts and entertainment facilities for the local community. |
IMPart is an independent establishment purely run by volunteers and managed through a committee . Our main stream of income derives from the hire of the hall. Alternative funding is used for the continuous improvement of the building, operational structure and service provision.
IMPart offers a welcoming and friendly place to meet, engage and support creative individuals and groups of the whole community. On Tuesdays, 10.30-15.00, IMPart is open to maintain all aspects of running the organisation, allowing visitors to pop in for a cup of tea or coffee and members to use the hall to work on their artwork.
|
Over the last few years IMPart has become a sustainable venture, an important venue and centre for community and arts activities. Still there is room for improvement and we are continuing to develop facilities and service provision.
Marion (Chair): "We feel very passionate about our venue and the positive impact it provides to associated volunteers, members, groups, visitors and participants. Everyone here is important and it is that ethos that makes IMPart a special place to be involved in, learn, play and create." |

Management Committee |
 |
| IMPart owes its existence to the continued support of volunteers from the local community. In fact, if it weren't for people giving up their time to help support the centre, IMPart wouldn't be around today! |

History and Refurbishment |
 |
In 2000, St. Botolph's Church Hall was a neglected and derelict building, standing empty for 13 years. The founding members of IMPart saw the potential for the refurbishment of the hall and the future use for a creative community space so they set about the complicated task of getting it back into shape.
Most of the first few years were spent to transform the hall into a useable centrally heated venue with disabled access and facilities. By October 2005 the refurbishment reached a standard that allowed IMPart to reopen the doors to the public. Since then IMPart has continuously grown into a vibrant community arts space, and seeks to constantly investigate areas of development, improvement, refurbishing of its existing building and services to advance and enhance its range of service provision.
